1. MANALI, HIMACHAL PRADESH
Manali is famous for its serene and picturesque locations. Tourists visit this time to enjoy the snowfall. There are so many places in Manali to see snowfall in December. Rohtang Pass, Sissu village, and Solang Valley are the top destinations in Manali with a snow covering. Only Manali is the first place to get snowfall in the season in Himachal Pradesh, India. December and January get heavy snowfall in Manali throughout the year.
2. AULI, UTTARAKHAND
Nanda Devi and Nar Parvat mountains are the home of Auli. Apple Orchards and busy oak forests make Auli nature perfect. Never miss outgo places in Auli. After Manali, Auli is the second most visited place in December in India. Skiing is done here with a lot of fun by the tourist. The best time to enjoy skiing in Auli is the End of November but before March End every year.
3. GULMARG, JAMMU & KASHMIR
Gulmarg is called another heaven after Manali. December and January are the peak time for snowfall in Gulmarg. Beautiful Hill Station of J&K is famous for its fans. Recommend you pack some extra thermal or woolen clothes for immediate chill as the temperature falls in minutes -8 to 10 Degrees.
4. ALMORA, UTTARAKHAND
Almora is most famous for its Bright End Corner Sunset, which is around 2km away from Almora. Once you reach there, never miss visiting Oak and Pine Tree’s roadside visit. Uttrakhand is the holiest land in the Himalayas and is a haven for the spiritual seeker. Due to Cantonment Area, Almora looks very safe place in India. The view of the snow-covered city looks amazing from every angle.
5 . PAHALGAM
If you want to enjoy a coffee mug loaded with Chocolate while shivering in snowfall then you must visit once Pahalgam during December and January. Most of the visitors spend their New Year Party days here with friends and family. Being Snow Man is one of the favorites of Tourists Activities. The below 0-degree temperature makes you feel shivering but excited.
6. LAMBASINGI, ANDHRA PRADESH
A small village situated on the banks of Visakhapatnam Chintapalli Mandal is mesmerizing. At approximately 1000mtr above sea level, Lambasingi is the coolest place as compared to the surrounding area and is covered with forest. 7. SONMARG, JAMMU & KASHMIR
Most of the snow places in India are from 2 Places Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh. Kashmir Valley Sonmarg falls in the Himalayan Glacier. The end of December is starting of the snowfall in Sonmarg last till the initial April. Kolhoi and Machoi Glacier are just near this. You can come here from anywhere by road and Airport is 3 hours away from this place.
8. DARJEELING, WEST BENGAL
Darjeeling belongs to the world’s third-highest mountain peak, Kanchenjunga. Kanchenjunga is famous for its high-flown & epic view. In ancient times British Raj used to use Darjeeling as their summer vacation destination. You can enjoy Toy-Train Journey here as well as the lush of Kanchenjunga. Snowfall used to be here very small in quantity.
